This is why the internet was created. To bring joy to people from all around the world with something we all love… puppies! Because the website updates every day, this would make an excellent homepage. Additionally, multiple pictures are uploaded for every puppy, so you can spend some serious time here.

To waste even more time, browse the archives (dating back to 2005) or check out Daily Kitten.

Rather than one individual website, this is a whole genre of websites. The premiere place would be Keenspot.com, featuring such diverse strips as philosopher foxes, adorable sheep, and murderers. Essentially, they’re like regular comics, but completely on the internet. Every one of these webcomics is filled with backstory and could take you hours to finish. You’re welcome.

Update: If you REALLY are looking to kill time, check out The Web Comic List. But be warned, this list is long and potentially terrible.

Also known as the “Wayback Machine,” Archive.org serves as a portal into the past. But not one you can send stuff through, you can just kinda look at stuff on the internet. For example, you can’t tell yourself to quit that nasty porn addiction before it starts, but you CAN view what Yahoo looked like when you used it to internet search “porn” in 1996. Unfortunately, it often doesn’t save images linked to on pages, so you’ll really only get the layout of the page.

To waste more time, google your/your friends’ old websites and see how they’ve developed over the years. Maybe you could learn something from the simplistic designs required by a dial-up modem. Additionally, archive.org is now a full-fledged library, with movies, music, and texts. Check it all out and kill some serious time.

Granted this isn’t the most exciting of websites, it’s a sure time-waster. If you tracked every bill you’ve received, we could learn a lot about the money flow of this country. Or, if you’re not the learning type, you could at least know how many strippers have received your $1 as a tip.

After reading the highlights of the most traveled bills, you can waste more time by inputting every bill in your pocket, and even asking people around you to trade bills to input that data. After that’d one, hop over to the forums and meet equally bored people who like watching money move.

Essentially just Pictionary online, it’s easy to start playing immediately because the site requires no registration. The gameplay is straightforward and simple, just remember there are separate boxes for chatting/emoting and guessing the picture which need to be clicked on to use. Aside from that, it’s hours of mindless fun. If you get tired of that, you can get more intense by playing only computer games/movie/religious iSketch.

You can kill even more time there by regurgitating your middle school spanish class vocabulary and trying to hold your own in iSketch – foreign edition. There are also diverse social rooms (such as “gay / bi bois only!”), garnering the site enough direct communication to be called a community.
